Engineered for use with Silver Spring scooter and wheelchair carriers, the arms simply swing the entire unit away, to the side with the carrier unloaded. They are designed for low-to-ground vehicle hitch tubes, so the hitch adapter configuration allows up to a 7 in. rise (4 in. with the hitch adapter and 3 in. with the carrier adapter).
