They're designed to center the tongue weight of the trailer directly over the rear axle and springs, providing a smoother ride, and are attached to the frame for optimum strength. These kits contain brackets and rails coated with a durable rust and corrosion-preventative A-coat, and contain all of the necessary hardware for easy mounting. Most heavy-duty trailers are available in both gooseneck and 5th wheel designs; however, if you want to use your truck bed for anything more than towing, gooseneck is the best bet.
