Summit Racing™ oil pump primers make it easy to get oil to the top of your engine. They're designed to fit in your distributor hole and require no modifications to use. The Chevy primers feature a billet aluminum adjustable collar and black oxide coated steel shaft; while the Ford and Mopar primers use a standard steel shaft with no collar. Order the model recommended for your year/make and engine application.

COMP Cams Oil Pump Primers
COMP Cams oil pump primer tools allow the oil pump to be primed and the engine prelubed prior to initial start up. This eliminates the chance of a "dry start" and premature engine damage. COMP Cams primers drop in place of the distributor, and with the use of a drill, spin the oil pump to supply oil to critical engine components. Both models feature a top alignment collar and the Chevrolet model includes a bushing to pressurize the upper valve train too.

Stef's Oil Pump Primers
The first few seconds of an engine's life are critical. Stef's oil pump primers help start a motor off right by pre-lubing the bearings before firing the engine. The shaft is inserted in place of the distributor; a drill motor chucked on the small end of the primer spins the oil pump, pressurizing the oil galleys and ensuring there's an adequate supply of lubrication throughout the engine. Models are available with a spacer to pressurize the lifter galley—or with a spacer to pressurize both the lifter galley and distributor drive.

Before starting a new engine, proper priming of the oil system is absolutely critical. Milodon oil pump primers eliminate needless engine wear from improper lubrication upon initial start-up.
