Torque plates are bolted to the block deck while honing to simulate the stress applied to the bores when the heads are installed. If a cylinder is bored without a plate, once the head is installed, the bore will no longer be round at the top. Almost all factories routinely do this, as well as most engine shops. But torque plates allow an engine to break in faster, use less oil, and produce a little more power due to better ring sealing. ICT Billet engine block torque plates are specific to engine families and use factory length head bolts and studs. They are made from aerospace-grade billet aluminum.

Bob Drake universal glass setting tape is a must for properly sealing the glass into the windshield frame. Unlike the local glass shop types, this tape is a special "all rubber" formula designed to look and perform like the original Ford factory type. It creates a watertight bond as it cushions the glass. Just fold tape over the glass edge and insert the glass into the frame. Excess is easily trimmed with knife. The tape is available in a variety of thicknesses. (Note: To determine the thickness you need, measure the width of glass, then the width of the channel that glass fits into. Subtract the width of glass from the width of channel and divide this figure by two. This will be tape thickness. For best results, the tape should be slightly larger than the gap. Proform stud boss cutting tools include a universal arbor that also acts as a pilot/guide and fits into the original stud hole. When switching over your factory cylinder heads for screw-in studs, you need to machine down the stud boss equal to the thickness of the new stud's jam nut plus the guideplate thickness. Simply attach the boss cutter to an arbor press with the included adapter/guide, mount your cylinder head boss underneath the blade and cut away. Please note that the cylinder head may need to be angled correctly before cutting, and the finished cutting area should be at least the same diameter as the screw in stud hex nut flange area.
