A quality band saw is a workshop essential, especially if you’re doing any fabricating or metal cutting. Ideal for making accurate, repeatable cuts on things like steel tubing and angle iron, outfitting your machine shop or garage with a band saw can save you hours of fabrication time.
And when it comes to selecting the best band saw for your specific metal cutting projects, you’ve got plenty of options. If you do a lot of remote metalwork, there are portable, battery-powered band saws. If you work in close quarters, directly on the project, then a compact, cordless handheld portable band saw can save the day. Of course, if you’re doing a ton of fabrication on similar, repeat jobs, then a large stationary band saw can knock out a ton of reliable cuts in a short time—ideal for busy machine shops that handle a lot of mass production.
Stationary or portable, horizontal or vertical, there are plenty of facets to consider when outfitting your shop with a band saw. So Summit Racing makes finding the best band saw easy, with plenty of options, along with detailed specs on each one. Many of these band saws also include user reviews, so you know exactly how it will perform when you’re cutting metal tubing, steel bars, or angle iron.
Any experienced metal fabricator will tell you that there’s a right tool for every job, and that’s especially true with band saws. Assess what type of metal cutting you do, and that will often dictate the type of band saw you’ll need. If you’re just making a lot of straight cuts, then a vertical band saw can do the job well (and fast), whereas a horizontal band saw may offer more options for making angle cuts. And if you often find yourself outside of the shop, away from AC power, then a portable band saw may be your best option for your metal cutting jobs.
Once you know what you need, you can use the handy search filters on SummitRacing.com to narrow down the results on this page and pinpoint the best stationary band saw or portable band saw for your projects. See for yourself, find the right band saw for your shop now at Summit Racing.
