COMP Cams camshaft lobe center marking tools are constructed of aluminum and include three sizes to cover all common lifter bore diameters. With these tools, the user marks the cam lobe with a type of marking fluid, installs the cam, and then places the tool in the lifter bore. Next, the cam is turned over to mark a line around the cam lobe. The cam is then removed, and the distance from the edge of the lobe is measured. Finally, shims are changed to achieve the correct lobe-to-lifter alignment. The kits include marking tools for .842 in., .875 in., and .904 in. lifter bore diameters. Each part has 1/4-20 threads for the bolt in the top.

S&G Tool Aid top dead center indicators whistle as the piston approaches Top Dead Center (TDC) on the compression stroke, and stops whistling when the piston reaches TDC. This eliminates the guesswork involved when diagnosing jumped timing belts and timing chains, as well as aids in valve adjustments and installation of distributors, timing belts and timing chains. The 2-in-1 fitting threads into all 14mm and 18mm spark plug ports, and the hose has a 27 in. overall length. Not for use on diesel engines.

BTR solid ring compressors are significant improvements over conventional compressors. Rather than relying on the piston skirt to locate the pistons as they're being inserted into the block, Brian Tooley Racing ring compressors have a small, but very important reverse chamfer at the bottom that fits into the chamfer at the top of the block, which serves two functions. First, it locates the ring compressor exactly over the center of the hole. And, secondly, it reduces the chance of the oil ring getting caught between the ring compressor and the top of the block. Crafted from alumin and black anodized, these handsome solid ring compressors feature laser etching on a black background that is easy to read and looks good, even after lots of uses. Don't catch an oil ring between the compressor and the block; employ easy-to-use BTR solid ring compressors.
