Stripped bellhousing bolts? The cause is usually the loose fit of standard Torx bits, which damage the bellhousing bolts during removal or installation of the bolts. The solution to this problem is Sonnax Torx Plus bits. Specially designed for removing 4L60E bellhousing bolts, Sonnax bits have a tighter fit with the drive head of the bolt, helping to avoid rounding out the bolt head or the bit, and prevent the bit from walking out of the bolt head. Also, these Sonnax tools permit higher torque loads to be applied, which are often needed to remove extra-tight bolts.
