Transmission Shields

Before you start going fast, make sure you’re racing safely! At high engine speeds, the smallest imperfections in your clutch, flexplate, or flywheel can throw things out of balance, and that can result in a shrapnel-spraying failure. To keep this destruction from injuring the driver or bystanders, it’s a good idea to install a transmission shield (also called a scatter shield) and a flexplate shield. In fact, it may be required by your sanctioning body!
