Pulling the helmet off a crash victim can, in seconds, cause further trauma to the neck and cervical spine—resulting in serious debilitating and permanent damage. These Simpson Eject Bladder helmet removal systems are designed to aid in safe removal by pushing the helmet off the head after the upper spine has been immobilized. Essentially, they're an airbag that's inflated either by hand or by a CO2 cartridge when an EMT gets to you after an impact. Simpson Eject Bladder helmet removal systems are installed in your helmet. Once installed, you essentially forget about them until the dark day when you have an impact that threatens your spinal cord. The EMT will attach an inflator bulb or CO2 cartridge to the valve hanging out of the back of your helmet and pump up the bag, lifting the helmet off your head without any strain on your neck.

Competition Engineering 10-Point Roll Bar Strut Kits

Wrap yourself in even more cabin protection, these Competition Engineering 10-point roll bar strut kits are the partner package for the 10-point roll bar main hoop kits. They include the two rear struts, two front door bars, ten 6 in. x 6 in. x 1/8th in. mounting pads, and 12 joint gussets. These combined with the main hoop kit give you the surrounding protection of a 10-point roll cage. This type of modification is required in most circuits of racing to provide increased cabin safety, while also improving the vehicles side impact protection. Best installed with the interior removed, they do require a mild amount of fabrication to properly fit to your vehicles application. Common installation steps may involve trimming length to fit your desired interior design, and welding is definitely involved. Working with the interior taken out also makes it much easier to get proper fitment, and assure proper welds are achieved. These strut kits will require the appropriate main hoop kits to complete the cage install. Both the main hoops and the strut kits are available in mild steel and chromoly, so make sure you get the right material for your designed cockpit.
