Trackspec Trackday Series Bolt-In Roll Bars
Trackspec Trackday Series bolt-in roll bars are available for a wide range of cars, such as Corvettes, Camaros, and Firebirds. Over the past few years, Trackspec has become the leader in roll cage installations and design. As part of the SPEC Corvette racing series, they were driven to develop the best solutions on the market for rollover safety, starting with their DIY Roll Cage kits. For those not looking for a full roll cage, Trackspec developed the best bolt-in 4-point roll bar on the market for the 1982-92 3rd generation Camaro. Many roll bars on the market mount to the floor, which can be a less-than-ideal mounting solution. The Trackspec solution resolves all of this by mounting the main hoop to a vertically supported shelf near the rear seat buckets. They accomplished this by using advanced technologies to develop a billet machine aluminum plate that distributes the load of the main hoop evenly and across a larger surface area. By doing so, Trackspec achieved a stronger mounting solution and ease of installation. The rear down tubes also mount to a supported portion of the unibody structure. Competition Engineering 10-Point Roll Bar Strut Kits
Wrap yourself in even more cabin protection, these Competition Engineering 10-point roll bar strut kits are the partner package for the 10-point roll bar main hoop kits. They include the two rear struts, two front door bars, ten 6 in. x 6 in. x 1/8th in. mounting pads, and 12 joint gussets. These combined with the main hoop kit give you the surrounding protection of a 10-point roll cage. This type of modification is required in most circuits of racing to provide increased cabin safety, while also improving the vehicles side impact protection. Best installed with the interior removed, they do require a mild amount of fabrication to properly fit to your vehicles application. Common installation steps may involve trimming length to fit your desired interior design, and welding is definitely involved. Working with the interior taken out also makes it much easier to get proper fitment, and assure proper welds are achieved. These strut kits will require the appropriate main hoop kits to complete the cage install. Both the main hoops and the strut kits are available in mild steel and chromoly, so make sure you get the right material for your designed cockpit.
