Designed to provide an extra-layer of protection beneath your helmet, Bell Racing's Sport-TX head socks are made from soft, flame-retardant, Nomex material and are SFI 3.3 rated and tagged. The head socks are designed to cover the nose and mouth and can add much needed seconds of thermal protection in the event of a fire. Commonly called a balaclava, head sock, or a hood—regardless of the name—many sanctioning bodies require them, and many drivers choose this additional layer of safety. Bell offers the head socks in select colors with single eyehole opening or a dual eyeport version.
