The K1 RaceGear Challenger driving pants are single-layer SFI-1 race gear manufactured with high-quality, treated FR cotton--ideal for entry level racers, pit crews, race officials, and mechanics. If the race league that you compete in does not require Nomex fabric, K1's Proban cotton pants are the logical choice! Providing superb protection in the event of a fire and meeting stringent SFI 3.2A/1 certification standards, K1 Challenger gear is suitable for a variety of racing classes, including dirt track and oval racing leagues such as Midgets, Quarter Midgets, Bandoleros, Sprint Cars, Legends, and Thunder Roadsters, as well as sports car racing classes like SCCA Solo and ProSolo. Made from your choice of chromoly or mild steel, these strong one-piece hoops mount easily with minimal welding, reinforcing the cabin safety through increased rigidity. This type of modification is required on most racing circuits for improved driver protection. In order to install a complete roll cage, you'll also need the appropriate strut kit (sold separately)--or save time by simply ordering the complete roll bar hoop and strut assembly package.
