Made from an engineered plastic, which replaces the cast alloy design of the regular hinge, these awning components are designed to be the break points, as they are cheaper and easier to replace than aluminum poles. These service kits consist of two replacement hinges engineered to withstand most conditions that your Batwing awning might be exposed to. You may want to order a second service kit to keep on hand so you have it just in case a huge gust of wind gets too wild out of nowhere.
