(Specific Area Message Encoding) technology that will send weather alerts for your specific location, just enter your S.A.M.E. county code found on the National Weather Service website or choose one of the preloaded locations. Alert lights are classified according to the weather event's degree of urgency and severity. A red light is issued when a hazardous weather event is occurring or is likely to occur, an orange light when a watch is issued and yellow light for a weather advisory. When a S.A.M.E. alert is issued for your area, the message will scroll across the LCD display, an alert status level light will illuminate and a loud siren will sound. Eton Elite Field BT AM/FM/SW Bluetooth Portable Radios let you listen to a wide range of frequencies including AM (520-1710kHz), FM (87.5-108 MHz) and shortwave (1.711-29.999 MHz) and features Digital HD Radio in North America and DAB+ Internationally. Radio Data System (RDS) for FM is supported and will display information such as the station's call letters, music genre, song title, artist and more.
