AiM Sports GPS09c GPS Modules
The primary purpose of the AiM Sports GPS09c GPS modules is to serve as the core component for high-precision lap timing and split time calculations across all AiM data systems. They provide a reliable way to capture essential racing parameters without the need for traditional trackside beacons. Depending on your setup, the GPS09C GPS modules are available in several configurations: Standard, roof version, or Open version. The Standard version features a magnetic base for easy placement on the dashboard or vehicle exterior. Roof version is designed for vehicles with carbon fiber roofs or reduced glass surfaces that might otherwise block GPS signals; it allows for a clean, permanent through-panel installation. Open version acts as a stand-alone variant capable of streaming configurable GPS data via CAN or RS232 to non-AiM systems. Select the module version that is better suited for your application needs. Key functions and benefits: * Automatic track recognition—the module comes preloaded with start/finish line coordinates for over 4,000 tracks worldwide (your logger or dashboard automatically recognizes the track upon power-up, initiating timing immediately) * Enhanced accuracy—module utilizes four satellite constellations (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou) to maintain sub-meter accuracy (0.5m CEP), ensuring reliable signal stability even in challenging environments * Data analysis and optimization—samples data 25 times per second (25 Hz) to record exact vehicle position, speed, and lateral/longitudinal g-forces to help drivers optimize performance * Performance metrics—calculates real-time predictive lap times, allowing drivers to see their time gap against their best lap with high precision during the race * Telemetry and driver coaching—the data gathered is used for advanced performance analysis, driver coaching, and vehicle setup tuning through AiM Race Studio 3 software * Most models are compatible with AiM MX Series dashes, EVO loggers, and SmartyCam 3 cameras, or available as "Open" versions for non-AiM systems via RS232/CAN
