Made for race cars with tube-style chassis, these universal race steering column kits from Competition Engineering feature 3/4 in. x .058 in. wall chromoly steel shafts for lighter weight without sacrificing strength. The inner shaft rides in two flanged polymer bushings that mount to a 1 1/2 in. diameter 6061-T6 aluminum tube. Other features include grease fittings, a stop collar, an SFI-approved quick-release steering hub, a precision needle bearing U-joint, and installation instructions. Hays hydraulic pedal height adjuster kits plumb inline between your factory or aftermarket master cylinder and release bearing. By adjusting the screw on the top of the cylinder, fluid is initially diverted to the adjuster cylinder—and once the cylinder fills, the remaining fluid travels directly to the hydraulic bearing to actuate the clutch. This adjustment adds freeplay to the pedal and moves the engagement point down toward the floor. Hays pedal adjusters are compatible with most factory or aftermarket release bearing/master cylinder combinations with the proper adapters.
