Meziere True Start 200 Series high-torque starters are designed to fit into tight areas. They provide adequate torque and spin speed for most Pontiac engines with moderate compression ratios, using Meziere's robust drive and custom planetary gear reduction. To alleviate starter failure, standard testing includes amp draw, power and rotational speed under load, as well as free rev-testing to ensure proper balance of internal rotating parts.
