Narrowband vs. Wideband

A narrowband O2 sensor only informs the computer if your engine is running rich or lean. A wideband sensor measures how rich or how lean the ratio is.

Upstream vs. Downstream

Upstream O2 sensors are positioned before the catalytic converter; downstream sensors are after it.
