Aeromotive VaporWorx fuel pressure sensors are exclusively for use with all VaporWorx PWM (Pulse Width Modification) kits that require a fuel pressure sensor. Efficient energy management is one of the main goals in the automotive industry, regulating actuators by (PWM), which is a widespread means of improving efficiency. PWM fuel pressure sensors are used to precisely control the speed of a fuel pump by rapidly turning the power on and off in varying durations, allowing the engine to receive the exact amount of fuel needed based on driving conditions. This ultimately improves fuel efficiency and reduces unnecessary wear on the pump by only running it at full power when required; essentially acting like a "throttle" for the fuel pump. Select the sensor for your application. Key points of PWM fuel pressure sensors: * Dynamic fuel pressure control—unlike traditional systems, PWM allows the fuel pressure to adjust rapidly depending on engine load, throttle position, and other factors, ensuring optimal fuel delivery at all times * Reduced power consumption—by only running the fuel pump at the necessary speed, PWM significantly reduces the power draw from the battery, improving fuel economy * Lower noise levels—operating the fuel pump at variable speeds with PWM helps minimize noise generated by the pump * Returnless fuel systems—PWM is often used in modern "returnless" fuel systems, where the excess fuel is not returned to the tank, simplifying fuel system design How it works: -- Signal from the ECU: The engine control unit (ECU) sends a PWM signal to the fuel pump controller, which determines the duty cycle (the ratio of "on" time to "off" time) based on engine conditions -- Pump speed control: The controller uses the PWM signal to rapidly switch the power to the fuel pump, effectively adjusting its speed -- Feedback loop: A fuel pressure sensor monitors the actual fuel pressure and sends this information back to the ECU, allowing for fine-tuning of the PWM signal to maintain desired pressure

Aeromotive VaporWorx fuel pressure sensor datalogging kits are designed to monitor and record the fuel pressure in a vehicle's fuel system, allowing users to precisely analyze and adjust fuel pump speed based on real-time pressure readings, ensuring optimal fuel delivery and performance, particularly in high-performance applications where fuel demand can fluctuate significantly. Essentially, these kits provide valuable data to fine-tune a fuel system for efficiency and power delivery by monitoring pressure changes under various driving conditions. Key points about VaporWorx fuel pressure sensor datalogging kits: * Perfect for datalogging systems or as a replacement kit for your VaporWorx PWM kit (sold separately) * Precise fuel pressure monitoring—the kit includes a dedicated fuel pressure sensor that accurately measures the pressure in the fuel rail, providing detailed data for analysis * Pump speed adjustment—by reading the fuel pressure data, the VaporWorx controller can dynamically adjust the fuel pump speed to maintain the desired fuel pressure at all times, optimizing fuel delivery based on engine demands * Datalogging capability—the system allows users to record fuel pressure data over time, enabling them to identify potential issues like pressure drops during acceleration or inconsistencies under different driving conditions * Performance enhancement—by precisely regulating fuel pressure, users can optimize engine performance, improve throttle response, and potentially increase horsepower * Troubleshooting Tool—datalogging data can assist in diagnosing problems related to fuel pressure regulation, such as a failing fuel pump or a faulty fuel pressure regulator Note: Some applications, depending on where the sensor is mounted, may require a 10-20uf capacitor to be installed across the output and ground. The 5-volt supply not included.
