FuelTech EGT-4 CAN Conditioners
FuelTech EGT-4 CAN conditioners are compatible with any Type K thermocouple (grounded junction or not). They feature a 4-channel signal conditioner with CAN bus communication for PowerFT ECUs that can be used to read EGTs, CHTs, oil, air, water or any other temperature using a Type K thermocouple. These units work as an input expander for PowerFT ECUs, freeing up four white input channels to be used for other purposes. With the possibility to use up to four EGT-4 modules in the same installation, as many as 16 different channels will be available for all sorts of data acquisition. Racepak EGT Components
Monitoring and relaying the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) signals from each of your cylinders is done using components from three groups: the thermocouple which actually measures the exhaust temperature, the junction box which gathers the four thermocouple sensors on each cylinder bank into a group, and an EGT module that connects the two junction boxes to the Racepak sensor network. Racepak EGT components are built and designed specifically for all of those roles. Computech Exhaust Temperature Kits
Computech exhaust temperature kits offer an economical way of maintaining a consistent tuneup, week in and week out. The leaner your engine is, the hotter the temperature. The richer the engine is, the cooler the temperature. Where EGT sensors really excel is maintaining a specific tuneup. Once you find a setup where your engine is running safely and consistently, you can note the temperature and then strive for that temperature every race, ensuring your engine is tuned consistently. The kits include a 3/16 in. stainless steel exposed junction thermocouple, a compression fitting, a 10 ft. braided stainless extension wire, and a connector.
