Racepak also offers adhesive thermocouples that eliminate the need for bung and other sensor mounting methods, making them ideal for a number of surface temperature readings such as shock housing, engine block, fuel tank, fuel pump, electric motor, and battery temperature. These Type-K thermocouple assemblies (Nickel-Chromium/Nickel-Aluminum) are precisely designed for their specific applications and must be used with the appropriate thermocouple amplifier module (sold separately). Racepak's Vehicle Network (V-Net) is a "smart data" transfer network able to transmit multiple signals from sensors over a single cable. The key to the V-Net system is the modular connectors that attach each of the devices to the main cable. For a function or component to be monitored on the V-Net, the signal from that device must pass through a sensor and its module (essentially a miniature computer) that identifies and retrieves only the proper incoming signals and allows other signals to pass through. The sensor measures the input from the function or device (i.e. rpm, pressure, temperature, etc.), while the module converts the signal so it can be transmitted over the V-Net. Racepak analog pre-programmed V-Net modules with sensors are programmed to collect specific data and are ready for plug-and-play installation on the V-Net cable. Measuring the exhaust backpressure is vital data required to best determine the true efficiency of your combination. By separating the backpressure sensor from the direct connection to the exhaust manifold using FuelTech's backpressure canister, the sensor will be protected from heat, moisture--and has pressure spike filtering naturally built into the canister. This filtering assists in protecting the sensor and allows you to see true indication of pressure in the exhaust manifold. AEM Electronics CD-7 digital racing dash displays feature 7 in. full-color digital screens that are super bright, high contrast, and with sunlight-readable displays. To ensure visibility at all times, they also have integrated glare diffusers and shade hoods to overcome the brightest daylight conditions. The CD-7s are designed to accept channels from CAN bus connections—and two CAN bus channels are included so that they can receive and collect data from AEMnet-enabled devices. Seven ultra-bright LEDs span the top of the display housing for rpm and shift light indication. You can program them to ascend in specific increments based on rpm range, and flash when it's time to shift. Brightness is also programmable on the fixed color LEDs. Two large buttons are included on the face of the display, allowing easy page changing and memory resetting—even with driving gloves on. These button functions are duplicated on the rear connector, allowing you to mount remote buttons on the steering wheel, if desired. Two additional programmable LEDs are located above the toggle buttons on the sides of the housing. AEM offers the CD-7 as "display only" (non-logging) or with built-in logger (CD-7L). The units are available in either a cast aluminum or carbon fiber composite housing—with sealed connectors on the rear and anti-vibration mounts.

Racepak IQ3 data recorders represent an entirely new concept in data logging dashes. By placing the 32-channel data logger, 512 MB memory card, GPS board, and 3-axis G-meter inside the dash, every feature of the data system is now located in one central location. This means that only one small cable will transmit the data from all the sensors to the rear of the dash. This eliminates the need for a sensor harness, greatly reducing installation time, complexity and overall weight. The programmable shift lights are protected from sunlight by a molded shield above the lights, while the low-glare LCD display is well recessed in the housing to provide viewing in all light conditions. The rear of the dash contains the connectors for the external GPS antenna and V-Net sensor cable—plus the power, ground, and engine rpm external programming button harnesses. All data is stored in a MicroSD memory card located in the front of the dash between the programmable shift lights. This design insures easy access to the memory card for data download.
