FAST speed sensor loops are magnetic sensors designed for high-performance automotive applications, including drag racing, to accurately measure the rotational speed (rpm) of a vehicle's driveshaft and calculate its corresponding speed and acceleration. By attaching magnets to the driveshaft that pass by a pickup sensor, the system provides more precise data than engine rpm alone, enabling features like more accurate data logging of miles per hour and miles per gallon for the FAST XFI system.
