Racepak's Vehicle Network (V-Net) is a "smart data" transfer network able to transmit multiple signals from sensors over a single cable. The key to the V-Net system is the modular connectors that attach each of the devices to the main cable. For a function or component to be monitored on the V-Net, the signal from that device must pass through a sensor and its module (essentially a miniature computer) that identifies and retrieves only the proper incoming signals and allows other signals to pass through. The sensor measures the input from the function or device (i.e. rpm, pressure, temperature, etc.), while the module converts the signal so it can be transmitted over the V-Net. Racepak analog pre-programmed V-Net modules with sensors are programmed to collect specific data and are ready for plug-and-play installation on the V-Net cable. Computech 1,500 psi pressure monitor kits are great for monitoring nitrous bottle pressure, as well as brake pressure. The pressure sensor will monitor from 0 to 1,500 psi. The kits include a stainless steel pressure transducer and 15 ft. extension cable and are compatible with most gases and fluids, including gasoline, methanol, and oil.

Altronics O2 Alert warning and recording systems are specifically designed to record air/fuel ratios with a warning output. Not only do they record up to two wideband oxygen sensors, they also record engine rpm and have a programmable warning output to protect against detonation. The systems feature a backlit display, one wideband O2 sensor, a warning output, and software. The warning output can be used to activate a warning light, enable fuel enrichment, shut down nitrous, or retard timing. Recording can be started by a preset rpm value or switch, and can be played back on the systems or downloaded and graphed to a PC.
