MSD Ultra 7AL Ignition Boxes
For racers that need serious spark output, the MSD Ultra 7AL ignition boxes are the right choice. Offering industry-leading spark energy output in a compact and efficient package, the Ultra 7AL includes four step retards, three rev limits and two rpm-activated switch outputs. The Ultra 7AL also features two different power output settings that can be used for on-the-fly changes which are perfect for drag-and-drive applications. All features are adjusted using plug-in modules including the 3-step rev control and multi-step retard. The rev control gives you the ability to set one rev limit for the burnout, another for the staging rpm limit and a third for use top end engine protection in the event of driveline failure. For nitrous fans, there are four separate stages that can be activated independently yet add up together. Plus, there are two rpm activated switch outputs that can be used for air shifters, shift lights or other devices that require a perfectly timed ground trigger! CA Tachometer Filters
CA offers tachometer filters for a variety of applications, including many Chevy Corvette models from the 1970s, '80s, and '90s. These devices remove leading or trailing pulse signal interference for tach RPM gauges, preventing aftermarket instruments from acting erratically. Racepak Hall Effect Driveshaft Sensors
Racepak Hall Effect driveshaft sensors take advantage of the magnetic field created by simple magnets. It allows the sensors to generate a measurable voltage output known as the Hall Effect. This output can be gauged to accurately determine things like driveshaft or wheel rpm. These metal devices feature a 5/16 in. fine thread pitch on one end and a 3-pin Molex connector on the other for installation. The Lingenfelter Performance Engineering STOV-004 is a vehicle speed-based switch that can be used to enable or disable devices based on vehicle speed—much like an RPM switch or RPM window switch, but instead based on vehicle speed. The STOV-004 also provides a 0-5 volt analog output corresponding to vehicle speed that can be used to provide a vehicle speed signal to many other add-on devices. These switches can accept the vehicle speed output signal from most engine control modules and can also connect directly to many common speed sensors. FAST Magnet-Free Crank Trigger Kits
Recently, engineers at FAST turned to the OEMs to see what they trust in the way of rpm-measuring crank triggers for their 400 and 500 horsepower daily drivers. Until now, flying magnetic trigger wheels with bulky inductive pickups have been used with the risk of broken magnets or losing magnets at high engine rpm. Now there is a better answer--FAST magnet-free crank trigger kits. A magnet-free device, these kits from FAST include a wheel constructed from ASTM A36 grade steel that is so strong that it only needs to be .125 in. thick and is virtually indestructible. With the wheel being this thin, it not only weighs less but requires less space than competitors' aluminum versions. And the FAST inductive sensor is also much smaller than others on the market and is hermetically sealed with the connector molded into the body. The key to the crank trigger's dependability and accuracy lies in the trigger wheel design. Rather than having added magnets, the wheel has tabs on the outer rim. These tabs are measured by the inductive sensor as the wheel revolves, which then provides data to the fuel injection and ignition systems for accurate rpm measurement. And because the tabs are a part of the single wheel unit, there is no possibility of loss or fragmentation as with the magnetic style trigger wheels. This sensor is used by OEMs both on and inside the engine and provides long-lasting, accurate timing. Installation is straight forward, and everything required is included. For those already using the FAST XFI system, it's a plug and play unit. In addition, it's compatible with many other EFI systems on the market.
