MSD 6-BTM CD ignitions are ideal for engines with a turbo or supercharger. Not only will they benefit from full power CD sparks, but there is also an adjustable boost/timing retard circuit to prevent detonation. The dash-mounted control knob lets you easily adjust the amount of timing retard from 0-3 degrees per pound of boost pressure. Dial away engine-damaging detonation by retarding the timing in relation to boost pressure, and run on the threshold of detonation for maximum power and efficiency. You also get overrev protection from the soft touch rev control. They work with 4, 6 (even fire only), and 8-cylinder engines using a distributor. They include rubber shock mounts and 3,000, 6,000, 7,000, and 8,000 rpm plug-in rev limit modules.

Jesel Extreme Series Distributor Drive Kits

Jesel Extreme Series distributor drive kits were introduced in 2011, and are designed to handle the high cylinder pressures experienced in Pro Stock and Pro-Mod type engines. They feature MSD 5 in. Pro-Caps to ensure accurate spark delivery, as well as to reduce spark scatter frequently experienced in high cylinder pressure applications. Jesel belt-driven distributor systems are direct bolt-on accessories to their camshaft belt drives, eliminating timing inaccuracies due to camshaft deflection and cam walk. By driving the distributor drive directly off the camshaft pulley, ignition timing stays constant and will not deviate from the initial settings. Plus, Jesel Extreme distributor drives provide the ability to set the engine back further in the chassis without worrying about firewall or windshield interference.

MSD DIS-4 Plus Digital Ignitions

MSD DIS-4 Plus digital ignitions improve the output of your late model distributorless ignition system (DIS). The capacitive discharge ignitions feature multi-channel capability, complemented with multiple sparks, two rev limiters, and a timing control. These DIS ignitions are engineered with the latest in digital science, including power MOSFET technology and efficient IGBT coil drivers. They're managed by a 15 MHz micro-controller for extremely fast compensations and decisions. In the end, this creates incredibly accurate spark delivery, rev limiting, and timing functions. Throttle response and mid-range pull are also improved, due to a series of powerful multiple sparks that last for 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation. There is a two-step rev limiter, which gives you one limit to set for holeshots and another for top-end performance. For engines using nitrous or extremely high cylinder pressures, you can also program a high-speed retard after the engine hits total timing. Both of these features are easy to adjust with the new built-in rotary dials. They also feature an ignition interrupt that will prevent the engine from starting by disabling the output to the coil, a retard feature that retards the timing at the top-end to prevent detonation, and an LED monitor that will alert you of a low supply of voltage or faulty input signals. Also, there is now a true step retard that can be activated through your nitrous solenoid wiring! The DIS-4 Plus ignitions are designed for 6 or 8-cylinder engines with three or four coil packs.
