Tune-up your entire ignition at once with Summit Racing™ Volt Max X-TREME spark plug wires, cap, and rotor kits. They're made to handle extreme conditions while perfectly matching OEM specs. The ultra-low resistance wire core is wrapped in a high dielectric capacitance jacket to keep voltage directed to the plug, and is protected by a tough silicone outer jacket. Stainless steel terminals (solid brass for Ford D.I.S. applications) with hardened, positive snap-locks ensure a permanent connection, and the silicone boots can handle up to 450 degrees F of heat. The wire sets include dielectric grease to seal terminals and boots, plus wire separators (a must if your OEM wire are 7mm). Select the tune-up kit designed for your vehicle.

Davis Unified Ignition Crossfire cap and rotor kits are an effective solution for the often-tangled mess created where your ignition wires connect to the distributor. These organized units allow your spark plug wires to be routed in numerical sequence—with wires for the left bank of the engine all exiting on the left side of the distributor in order, and the right bank wires exiting to the right side. No wires criss-cross anywhere, making your engine bay look clean and orderly, while eliminating the possibility of arcing between plug wires.

Most kits include the 8mm Extreme 9000 wire sets, which feature a low-resistance Ferro-Spiral core and heat-reflective coated spark plug boots rated to 1,200 degrees F. Some inline 6-cylinder applications use the 5000 Series wire sets where extreme heat is not a problem. The distributor cap and rotor are precision-molded from impact-resistant, high-dielectric strength compounds and have brass or copper inserts (depending upon your application) and stainless steel contact springs. In addition, the race-proven C-Cut performance spark plugs deliver maximum burn efficiency for improved performance and reduced emissions.

These cap and rotor kits from MSD are replacements for the 44 amp Pro Mags, or the 12 amp band clamp models. The caps are molded form alkyd material and have excellent high-voltage characteristics. Brass spark plug style terminals are used for solid connections and a firm grip to the plug wire terminal. The rotors are injection-molded from Dupont Rynite, a strong glass-reinforced material. Tall vanes are molded on the top of the rotors to stir up the air, preventing ozone buildup and crossfire from occurring. A brass/stainless steel rotor tip is screwed into the rotor, ensuring a long life at high rpm.
