MSD Pro 600 CDI ignition kits with high-output coils answer this need. The Pro 600 CDI ignitions provide unrivaled spark energy and dependability. They have built-in protection for accidental reverse battery connection, over temperature protection, and LED diagnostics that can identify an issue with individual coils should a problem arise. They also feature a programmable power setting to allow racers to switch between 250 to 400 millijoule outputs, or the industry-leading output of 680 millijoules via an activation wire or software, meaning that you can turn it down for the long haul and then set it to kill mode at the strip, making the Pro 600 ideal for a Drag Week-style car and really any no-compromise vehicle. Perfectly complementing the Pro 600 ignition box in these MSD kits are high-output 8280 ignition coils, replacing the extremely capable 8232 coils used in the 8-channel capacitive discharge ignition kits. Available in red or black, the 8280 coils have the goods to back up their aesthetics with increased peak spark current, overall spark energy, and greater thermal efficiency. Designed for coil-near-plug engine management systems, the PRO 600 is also capable of easily converting any distributor-type ignition into a coil-near-plug system. These MSD 8-Plus CD ignitions produce the same extreme output as the original 8-series, yet they are now in a smaller housing with improved efficiency and internal components. The new 8-Plus ignitions feature built-in, 2-step rev control. Now you can switch between two rev limits without extra wiring or housings. For those who are looking for a dual-fire MSD 8, the MSD 8-Plus CD ignitions are all that you need. MSD's engineers were able to deliver ignitions that are capable of firing two coils at once for those extreme racers using dual plug race setups.

MSD took their original Pro Mag 12 distributors, added some new features to build performance, and subtracted 3 lbs. to help you get down the track faster. The results are the Pro Mag Lites. They utilize a magnetic pickup design with 16 rare earth magnets for rock-steady performance without recharging. They deliver 12 amps and 40,000 V worth of spark energy, feature built-in rev control that's good for up to 12,000 rpm, and use an all-billet housing for superior durability. They're compatible with MSD's crank trigger system.

The MSD Direct Ignition System (DIS) controller greatly simplifies the conversion from conventional distributor-type engines to a coil-per-plug configuration.
