Depending on the model, kits may include replacement pick-up/pulsar and source coils, trigger coil, grommet, lead wires, connectors, and terminals, sheathing, and screws. A crucial part of the charging system, stators generate alternating current (AC) electricity from the engine's mechanical motion—which is then converted to direct current (DC) by the rectifier/regulator to power the machine and charge the battery. It is important, per Rick's, to check the Ohms reading on your rotor; a reading of 3.5 to 4.5 is required for these rectifiers. Without sufficient resistance, failure will result, and the warranty will be void.

Rick's Motorsport offers primary coils for a variety of applications, including Suzuki ATV LT80 QuadSport models from the 1980s, '90s, and 2000s. These replacement lower-voltage windings within the ignition coil receive current from the CDI (Capacitator Discharge Ignition) box, acting as the input side of the transformer. They convert low-voltage current into high-voltage current needed to create a spark in the spark plug, igniting the fuel/air mixture in the engine cylinder. The primary coils are made from factory materials and specs to ensure proper fitment and off-road performance.
