They're designed to be used when converting from standard 105 amp GM alternators to hi-amp GM alternators, such as 145 or 160 amp. When swapping out your alternator, don't take a chance with cheap wire connectors; poor quality materials can have conductivity issues that will cause your engine to run poorly and be difficult to diagnose.
