MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensors which fail may cause the engine to have a too rich or lean fuel mixture condition. Crown Automotive MAP sensors restore data transmission to regulate timing control and fuel delivery. They convert engine vacuum/manifold pressure to an electrical signal so that the computer knows how much load the engine is under.
