These Standard Motor Products replacement coolant level sensors provide the PCM with an analog input signal, along with an oxygen sensor, to go into the closed loop mode of controlling the fuel mixture. They are designed to provide actual engine temperature information to the PCM. The PCM then feeds the sensors a fixed reference voltage of usually 5 volts when the engine is on. The resistance in the sensors is high when cold, and drops as the sensors warm up, to alter the voltage signal back to the PCM. Are you experiencing temperature problems with your vehicle? United Pacific ignition coil resistors are a great replacement for OEM external ballast resistors. They are used to supplement the ignition coil's primary resistance. Also known as "points savers", ballast resistors have been used for decades to reduce current to the points, extending their life. They are also used to protect some electronic ignition conversion kits from overheating due to excess electrical current. Usually mounted on the firewall or on the ignition coil, they are wired between the coil's positive terminal and the condenser or electronic ignition module. Standard Motor ABS speed sensors supply information regarding wheel movement to the ABS computer. They're often located at each wheel hub/rotor on 4-wheel disc systems. Alternatively, on rear drum applications, you'll usually find them mounted on the differential housing. Under braking, if wheel speeds are unequal, indicating wheel lockup, the computer modulates the anti-lock feature until the speeds are equal again.
