MSD Boost Timing Master Ignitions
If you run a blower, turbo, or even a naturally aspirated engine, MSD's Boost Timing Masters allow you to run at the edge of detonation for maximum power output. They can prevent detonation by automatically retarding the timing as your manifold pressure increases. The secret lies in a boost pressure sensor that's inside MSD's solid-state control box. The sensor reads boost pressure through a 1/8 in. vacuum hose attached to a boost pressure source. The result gives you peak power without harmful detonation. A dash-mounted control knob allows you to dial in the retard from 1 to 3 degrees per pound of boost pressure, up to a maximum retard of 15 degrees. Vacuum tubing is not included. These units must be used with an MSD 6, 7 or 8 series ignition.

MSD 6-MOD Ford Modular Engine Controller
The 6-Mod Ignition Controller was originally developed for the 4.6 and 5.4-liter modular motors that were fed through a carburetor rather than an electronic fuel injection system. However, with the useful options that the 6-Mod provides, such as two rev limits, a step retard and easy control over the timing, the EFI people wanted a way to take advantage of the adjustment. The harness kit provides a splice-free installation of the MSD 6-Mod Controller to factory equipped EFI vehicles making installation a snap. All of the connectors plug directly to the factory units so there is no cutting or splicing of your factory wires. Once installed, the 6-Mod allows users to advance or retard the factory's timing curve, program a step retard for use with nitrous systems or even map out a timing curve through a laptop by using MSD's Pro-Data+ software.

MSD Ultra 7AL Ignition Boxes
For racers that need serious spark output, the MSD Ultra 7AL ignition boxes are the right choice. Offering industry-leading spark energy output in a compact and efficient package, the Ultra 7AL includes four step retards, three rev limits and two rpm-activated switch outputs. The Ultra 7AL also features two different power output settings that can be used for on-the-fly changes which are perfect for drag-and-drive applications. All features are adjusted using plug-in modules including the 3-step rev control and multi-step retard. The rev control gives you the ability to set one rev limit for the burnout, another for the staging rpm limit and a third for use top end engine protection in the event of driveline failure. For nitrous fans, there are four separate stages that can be activated independently yet add up together. MSD DIS-4 Plus Digital Ignitions
MSD DIS-4 Plus digital ignitions improve the output of your late model distributorless ignition system (DIS). The capacitive discharge ignitions feature multi-channel capability, complemented with multiple sparks, two rev limiters, and a timing control. These DIS ignitions are engineered with the latest in digital science, including power MOSFET technology and efficient IGBT coil drivers. They're managed by a 15 MHz micro-controller for extremely fast compensations and decisions. In the end, this creates incredibly accurate spark delivery, rev limiting, and timing functions. Throttle response and mid-range pull are also improved, due to a series of powerful multiple sparks that last for 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation. There is a two-step rev limiter, which gives you one limit to set for holeshots and another for top-end performance. For engines using nitrous or extremely high cylinder pressures, you can also program a high-speed retard after the engine hits total timing. Both of these features are easy to adjust with the new built-in rotary dials. They also feature an ignition interrupt that will prevent the engine from starting by disabling the output to the coil, a retard feature that retards the timing at the top-end to prevent detonation, and an LED monitor that will alert you of a low supply of voltage or faulty input signals. Also, there is now a true step retard that can be activated through your nitrous solenoid wiring! The DIS-4 Plus ignitions are designed for 6 or 8-cylinder engines with three or four coil packs.

Are you running an aftermarket fuel injection system and looking for a top-notch distributor that actually works? If so, these MSD Pro-Billet Cam Sync distributors are just what you need. They're designed to work with EFI management systems that fire the fuel injectors in the same order as the engine's firing order. They require a sync signal to know when the number one cylinder is firing and feature an adjustable sync pickup so you can set it to match your ECU's requirements (up to 60 degrees BTDC). This sync pickup uses a powerful, rare-earth magnet for strong trigger signals, and the wiring is routed through a weathertight connector for a positive-locking sealed connection. Each distributor housing is CNC-machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum, creating a strong, precise housing. The rotor features thick vanes to stir up the air and is injection-molded from Rynite for high dielectric strength. A 0.500 in. polished steel shaft spins the rotor and is guided by a sealed ball bearing at the top and an extra-long sintered bushing at the bottom for added stability. These distributors are ready to drop in your race engine, from the bronze gear to the brass terminals of the cap.
