For racers that need serious spark output, the MSD Ultra 7AL ignition boxes are the right choice. Offering industry-leading spark energy output in a compact and efficient package, the Ultra 7AL includes four step retards, three rev limits and two rpm-activated switch outputs. The Ultra 7AL also features two different power output settings that can be used for on-the-fly changes which are perfect for drag-and-drive applications. All features are adjusted using plug-in modules including the 3-step rev control and multi-step retard. The rev control gives you the ability to set one rev limit for the burnout, another for the staging rpm limit and a third for use top end engine protection in the event of driveline failure. For nitrous fans, there are four separate stages that can be activated independently yet add up together. Plus, there are two rpm activated switch outputs that can be used for air shifters, shift lights or other devices that require a perfectly timed ground trigger! MSD Pro-Billet distributors share the same CNC machining techniques as the rest of the MSD distributor line. They feature a housing that's machined from high-quality 6061-T6 aluminum for durability and show-quality looks. Their oversized shaft receives a QPQ coating for friction reduction and corrosion resistance, with the added strength of two sealed ball bearings that guide the shaft accurately at well over 10,000 rpm. An extra-long sintered bushing replaces the ball bearing at the bottom of Chevrolet models. TIG-welded on top of the polished steel shaft is MSD's accurate mechanical advance assembly. The weights are supported by nylon pads that allow the advance to operate smoothly throughout the rpm range. For all-out racing, the advance mechanism can also be easily locked out. To accurately trigger the ignition, a high-output magnetic pickup is bolted to the base. This pickup produces a precise trigger signal that will never vary more than one degree at any rpm. A durable gear is installed for performance applications, and an MSD red cap with brass terminals and race rotor is supplied. They're available in standard and small diameter models for applications with limited clearance, and require the use of a separate ignition box such as an MSD 6, 7, 8, or 10 Series ignition.

Are you running an aftermarket fuel injection system and looking for a top-notch distributor that actually works? If so, these MSD Pro-Billet Cam Sync distributors are just what you need. They're designed to work with EFI management systems that fire the fuel injectors in the same order as the engine's firing order. They require a sync signal to know when the number one cylinder is firing and feature an adjustable sync pickup so you can set it to match your ECU's requirements (up to 60 degrees BTDC). This sync pickup uses a powerful, rare-earth magnet for strong trigger signals, and the wiring is routed through a weathertight connector for a positive-locking sealed connection. Each distributor housing is CNC-machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum, creating a strong, precise housing. The rotor features thick vanes to stir up the air and is injection-molded from Rynite for high dielectric strength. A 0.500 in. polished steel shaft spins the rotor and is guided by a sealed ball bearing at the top and an extra-long sintered bushing at the bottom for added stability. These distributors are ready to drop in your race engine, from the bronze gear to the brass terminals of the cap. Chevrolet models have an adjustable slip collar that allows you to accurately set the distributor's installation depth in the engine. An MSD crank trigger, ignition control, and MSD 6, 7, 8, or 10 Series ignition must be used.

MSD Pro-Billet Ready-to-Run distributors are the perfect upgrade for weak OE electronic distributors, outdated points distributors, and large HEIs or DuraSparks. All that's required is to install the distributor in the engine, and connect three wires and the coil! A maintenance-free magnetic pickup accurately triggers this ignition with increased output from the amplifier, easily outperforming stock ignitions. It will smooth out the engine's idle, improve starting, and perform at a much higher rpm. The housing is machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum, using state-of-the-art CNC mills and lathes for a unit with no porosity or weak areas. For stability and endurance, an oversized steel shaft spins in a top-mounted sealed ball bearing, while an extra-long sintered bushing guides the shaft at the base of the housing. This shaft also receives a QPQ coating for low friction wear and resistance against corrosion from humidity and ozone buildup. LS Classic Series starts with a set of high-quality 7mm Kevlar® spiral core spark plug wires with high-temp silicone pre-installed 90 degree coil boots and straight unterminated spark plug boots. The wires are 9 ft. long with 40 ohms of resistance per ft., giving you all the length and performance you need to remote mount your coils—so they're out of sight and out of mind. The plug wires first connect to the coils and then pass into the hollow cast-aluminum distributor body that is bolted to the engine's valley plate. The wires continue on to the spark plugs through the distributor for an authentic nostalgic look. MSD DIS-4 Plus digital ignitions improve the output of your late model distributorless ignition system (DIS). The capacitive discharge ignitions feature multi-channel capability, complemented with multiple sparks, two rev limiters, and a timing control. These DIS ignitions are engineered with the latest in digital science, including power MOSFET technology and efficient IGBT coil drivers. They're managed by a 15 MHz micro-controller for extremely fast compensations and decisions. In the end, this creates incredibly accurate spark delivery, rev limiting, and timing functions. Throttle response and mid-range pull are also improved, due to a series of powerful multiple sparks that last for 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation. There is a two-step rev limiter, which gives you one limit to set for holeshots and another for top-end performance. For engines using nitrous or extremely high cylinder pressures, you can also program a high-speed retard after the engine hits total timing. Both of these features are easy to adjust with the new built-in rotary dials. They also feature an ignition interrupt that will prevent the engine from starting by disabling the output to the coil, a retard feature that retards the timing at the top-end to prevent detonation, and an LED monitor that will alert you of a low supply of voltage or faulty input signals. Also, there is now a true step retard that can be activated through your nitrous solenoid wiring! The DIS-4 Plus ignitions are designed for 6 or 8-cylinder engines with three or four coil packs.
