Different kits are available with all of them allowing you to remove or bypass the low-powered HEI module and coil and replace them with an MSD 6A or 6AL ignition control and Blaster 2 high output coil. The results are more power, an increased rpm range, easier starting, and better mileage and performance. The Super HEI conversion fits all GM V8 engines with the GM HEI internal coil distributor. The complete Super HEI kits include an MSD 6A ignition, Blaster 2 coil, coil wire, HEI dust cover, and coil bracket. The HEI II kits are identical to the standard kits, except that they come with a 6AL ignition. The 6AL has Soft Touch Rev Control to protect your engine from overrevving.
