Standard Motor alternator rectifiers are available for thousands of vehicle applications. These units in your assembly convert the AC (alternating current) that alternators produce into DC (direct current) for use by the vehicle's battery and electrical system. Harsh power demands on the rectifier can cause alternator diodes to fail. At that point, you may notice frequent engine stalls or dimming lights.
