Rough Country Speedometer Calibrators

Your vehicles computer is designed to track the speed based on your stock tire height. When upgrading to larger tires, there will be a discrepancy between your actual speed and the readout on your speedometer. Rough Country speedometer calibration devices are easy to use to help you quickly reprogram your vehicles speedometer to match the output of your larger tires. These plug-and-play devices connect directly to your vehicle's diagnostic link connector port and in just a few short minutes your speedometer reads true again. Plus, they not only change your in-dash readout, but they also update your vehicles ECM, ensuring accurate shift points and proper electronic stability control. Stack ST3800 Series Speedometer Proximity Sensors

Stack's proximity sensors are the suggested sensors for use with their ST3800 Series of electronic speedometers. Offering high performance and easy installation, the sensors are triggered by several targets (suitable metallic objects), producing pulses used to calculate vehicle speed. They have a built-in LED light which can be used to check that mechanical and electrical installations have been performed correctly.

Standard Motor Vehicle Speed Sensors

Replace your worn or malfunctioning vehicle speed sensor with one of these Standard Motor Products vehicle speed sensors. Depending upon a vehicle's equipment, the vehicle speed sensor commonly called a VSS may influence or control more systems than any other single sensor. Early-model vehicle speed sensors were just used to regulate the cruise control and control transmission shifts. Now, with OBD-II, vehicle speed is considered a part of the overall engine operating strategies, affecting both fuel delivery and ignition timing. The operations of the idle-air control valve and canister-purge cycle are regulated, in part, by the VSS. Automatic transmissions need VSS data to provide the best performance and mileage. Torque converter clutch operation is controlled by the VSS. In an electronically shifted transmission, VSS signals, instead of hydraulic pressure in the valve body, are used to determine shift points. Don't take chances with your vehicle's performance--insist on Standard Motor Products quality vehicle speed sensors.
