Convert your OEM-style breaker points and condenser to the more reliable Unilite ignition from Mallory. These self-contained units have no moving parts to wear out, so they provide many years of trouble-free service. Simply replace the points with the Unilite module, which consists of a photo coupler, signal processor, and power switch. Each time the shutter wheel stops the infrared light from reaching the photo coupler, the electronic circuitry energizes the ignition coil. When the shutter wheel allows the light to reach the photo coupler, the stored energy in the coil discharges. These kits can drive both OEM and high-performance ignition coils, and are designed for 12 V negative ground systems.

These bronze distributor gears from Mallory are recommended for steel billet mechanical roller tappet cams and slot hard-faced steel billet mechanical flat tappet cams. Bronze gears absorb the increased wear in special cams and magnetos and are easily replaced before costly damage to the camshaft gear occurs. The gears are precision-machined from the highest quality aluminum silicon bronze alloy for maximum durability. Bronze distributor gears must be checked often and replaced as needed.
