The distributors have a black alkyd cap and an adjustable mechanical advance, so you can precisely tune the curve to your engine setup. Some models also feature vacuum advance. Summit Racing™ Protorque Starters are 100 percent new! Our lightweight Nippondenso-type starters offer a 4.0:1 gear-reduction ratio and a whopping 1.9 HP. That's 222 ft.-lbs of racecar cranking power. If that's not enough cranking power to suit you, there are even more powerful 3.1 hp monsters, which are a pound lighter! They have a 4.44:1 reduction ratio and churn out an awesome 342 ft.-lbs. of torque. Our street proven wire sets offer a high heat black silicone outer jacket and high dielectric strength inner jacket bonded together with fiberglass matting to provide you with the ultimate in a street series wire set. Summit Racing™ Billet Electronic Mopar Distributors
Summit Racing™ billet electronic Mopar distributors convert your old points ignition to a new modern electronic breaker-less system. These distributors offer these benefits: improved timing and dwell control; higher energy at the spark plug for easier starting; improved throttle response; extended RPM range; and better efficiency, along with increased spark plug life. The distributor bodies are CNC-machined from forged 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and come with a glass fiber reinforced (PBT) tan cap (which is patterned after the OEM dual point cap)—with extra internal voltage dams that help to prevent crossfire while resisting carbon tracking. The shafts are centerless ground and ride on both upper and lower sealed roller bearings for smooth operation at high RPM's and extended service life. The cap contacts and rotor blade are brass and the rotor spring is stainless steel, all for long-term maximum conductivity.

Summit Racing™ offers run stand starter adapters for a variety of engine applications—including Ford and Mopar motors from the 1950s and up. Many times, troubleshooting and/or tuning an engine is easiest when the engine is outside the car on a test stand. This allows you to access locations of the engine which are nearly impossible to reach otherwise. The starter adapter enables you to mount the starter to the engine in order to monitor and diagnose issues while the engine is running. Order the adapter recommended for your particular engine.
