Shock travel sensors are linear potentiometers that record the slightest amount of suspension movement. Monitoring the extension and compression of the shock absorbers aids greatly in understanding what the chassis is doing. It is a principal means of evaluating suspension movement and chassis setup. Regardless of your type of racing, Racepak shock travel sensors provide information that is frequently crucial to separating winners from the also-rans. They are usually connected through an analog port of a data recorder (sold separately) and monitored at high sample rates. An analog channel is required for each sensor; a separate sensor is required for each wheel monitored.

Racepak users can employ these shock absorber travel sensors to monitor even the slightest amount of shock travel or tire shake. Shock travel graphs will provide you with the data you'll need to tune 'to the track' more precisely. These door car kits are available for front or rear shock travel. The front shock travel sensor kits contain two 4 in. linear shock travel sensors, two signal conditioning modules, and an analog extension cable.
