Peak current level is reached just prior to spark for maximum energy without the heat buildup, increasing coil performance and module reliability. They adjust spark timing at higher rpm to compensate for the inherent electronic delay, sense startup, and develop more energy for quicker, easier starting. The PerTronix Ignitor III® solid-state ignition systems have a built-in LED for user feedback confirmation of the rev limiter setting.

PerTronix Flame-Thrower magnetic trigger billet distributors are perfect alternatives to the more expensive distributors that competitors offer. These distributors feature a precision magnetic pickup coil and reluctor for extremely accurate signaling at low and high rpm. An over-molded magnetic pickup coil supports windings, while providing excellent resistance to corrosion. Tyco Mate-N-Lok connectors work with most ignition system harnesses. A specially engineered reluctor made from lightweight FC-0208 alloy offers superior dimensional stability for symmetrical spark separation.
