MSD 6-BTM CD ignitions are ideal for engines with a turbo or supercharger. Not only will they benefit from full power CD sparks, but there is also an adjustable boost/timing retard circuit to prevent detonation. The dash-mounted control knob lets you easily adjust the amount of timing retard from 0-3 degrees per pound of boost pressure. Dial away engine-damaging detonation by retarding the timing in relation to boost pressure, and run on the threshold of detonation for maximum power and efficiency. You also get overrev protection from the soft touch rev control. They work with 4, 6 (even fire only), and 8-cylinder engines using a distributor. They include rubber shock mounts and 3,000, 6,000, 7,000, and 8,000 rpm plug-in rev limit modules.

MSD Blaster HVC ignition coils are designed for high-rpm, long-duration applications, such as road course and Circle Track racing using the MSD 6 Series ignition. These units feature a 100:1 turns ratio, as well as lower primary resistance to produce high-voltage output. Windings are encased in a durable epoxy and secured with extruded brackets. They also feature a spark plug style terminal and a threaded brass primary stud. These ignition coils are CARB EO-approved and are supplied with rubber shock mounts to help them resist coil vibration. MSD HVC III coils utilizes an iron U-Core design with a segmented bobbin for improved voltage distribution. The bobbin is molded from Dupont Rynite FR946 material, which has incredible dielectric capabilities at high temperatures. MSD also incorporated a cutting-edge winding material that has improved insulation and is also capable of enduring extreme voltages. Together, these materials create a durable coil with incredible voltage capabilities, lightning-quick rise time, and longer spark duration. The MSD HVC-3 coils are equipped with an industry-first third terminal to allow secondary current sensing, for each spark, when used in conjunction with the MSD 8001 Pro 600 Single Channel ignition.
