MSD Pro-Billet Crank Trigger Distributors
MSD Pro-Billet crank distributors are built specifically for racing engines with almost no room for a distributor, due to tunnel rams or blowers. These units are equipped with a special low-profile crab-style distributor cap, allowing them to fit into extremely tight areas. The housing features two optional O-rings at the bottom that improves oil control by preventing oil pressure loss. Also, a small oil bleed hole (located in the base) sprays oil on the distributor and camshaft gears to prevent excessive wear. Since these are racing distributors, there is an adjustable slip collar to make up for engines that have had the distance between the mounting surface and the gear modified. Crowning the Pro-Billet crank distributor is MSD's own crab cap. This incorporates spark plug-style terminals for a better connection and grip to the plug wires. MSD Programmable Digital-7 Plus CD Ignitions
MSD Programmable Digital-7 CD Plus ignitions have an output power and Individual Cylinder Management timing system that are hard to beat. At the heart of these ignitions is a 15 MHz micro-controller that analyzes and manages every trigger signal. Their capacitive discharge circuits and state-of-the-art IGBT coil drivers work together to deliver a potent spark that can easily handle high cylinder pressures. Below 3,300 rpm, a series of sparks burn in the cylinder over 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation, producing a smooth idle with great throttle response. You can control all of this spark energy through an array of timing and rpm programs. MSD Coil Current Boosters
MSD coil current boosters provide added power to your Ford coil-on-plug engine to support additional horsepower. They also provide a 2-step rev limiter to consistently launch your car off the line. The MSD boosters increase the peak current at the ignition coil and spark energy at the plug gap, making them ideal to support engines with increased cylinder pressure from bumped-up compression ratios, a shot of nitrous, or boosted applications. The 2-step rpm adjustments are made via two rotary switches adjustable from 1,000 to 10,900 rpm, in 100 and 1,000 rpm increments. MSD Power Grid Oxygen Sensor Module Harnesses
MSD offers replacement wiring harnesses for the Power Grid Dual NTK wideband oxygen module—a dual channel air/fuel ratio (AFR) system designed to interface with the Power Grid (P/N 7730) to monitor and record the AFR of internal combustion engines. The oxygen sensor module is capable of measuring AFR as low as ? = 0.5 (7.35:1 gasoline AFR equivalent). The AFR range is configurable using the MSDView software in conjunction with the Power Grid Controller (P/N 7730). Excellent MSD range of the NTK sensor gives each unit the ability to accurately monitor AFR's even on alcohol cars. The MSD wideband oxygen sensor module also provides a 0.5-4.5 VDC analog output proportional to the AFR. This analog output can be sent to a gauge or a data acquisition system. A dual-color LED provides the system status at a glance. (To provide accurate backpressure compensated AFR readings on turbocharged applications, the addition of an Exhaust Pressure Module, part number 7767, is required.)
