FuelTech exposed tip thermocouples are engineered to provide faster and more accurate Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) readings, due to their lower thermal inertia, which allows them to respond quickly to temperature fluctuations. FuelTech exposed tip thermocouples are available in several wire lengths. Each thermocouple comes with a weld-in bung for proper installation into the exhaust manifold, along with an additional ferrule for compatibility with other EGT bung brands. FuelTech EGT-4 CAN conditioners are compatible with any Type K thermocouple (grounded junction or not). They feature a 4-channel signal conditioner with CAN bus communication for PowerFT ECUs that can be used to read EGTs, CHTs, oil, air, water or any other temperature using a Type K thermocouple. These units work as an input expander for PowerFT ECUs, freeing up four white input channels to be used for other purposes. With the possibility to use up to four EGT-4 modules in the same installation, as many as 16 different channels will be available for all sorts of data acquisition.
