FAST XDi Race Cam Sync distributors are an easy solution for those looking to provide an accurate cam sync signal to their aftermarket fuel injection system. Designed for applications that typically use a crank trigger, these distributors enable proper functioning of sequential fuel injection, individual cylinder spark timing, and fuel injector phasing—a must for maximum power and efficiency. Testing has shown the Hall-effect style optical pickup maintains a steady plus/minus 1/2 degree trigger signal, unlike competitors' inductive-style pickups prone to signal drift at high rpm. Ideal for SB and BB Chevy engines, each of the XDi distributors feature a plasma nitrided gear compatible with all popular camshaft materials, including cast iron, austempered iron, 5160 steel, and even 8620 steel. The special plasma nitride process used on the gears not only increases the gear's surface hardness, but also the "slickness" of the gear teeth reducing friction and increasing cam/distributor gear life, as well as making them superior to common melonized gears.
