FAST XFI Driveshaft Speed Sensor Kits
FAST XFI driveshaft speed sensor kits measure driveshaft rpm to provide more accurate data for the traction control unit. Two magnets are fitted to the collar around the pinion yoke, which attaches to the driveshaft. When one of the magnets passes the pickup, it sends a signal to the XFI unit. They then use that signal to calculate both driveshaft rpm and driveshaft acceleration. As a result, these speed sensor kits provide much more precise readings, as opposed to determining driveshaft speed solely through variable engine rpm. FAST XDi Sportsman Distributors
FAST XDi Sportsman distributors are designed to deliver the most accurate trigger signal possible throughout the entire rpm range of your race engine. This is accomplished through the use of an advanced Hall-effect style pickup, which is then converted to a signal that most CD ignition controls accept. The benefit of a Hall-effect pickup is: there is no retard, commonly called magnetic pickup compensation—so you can ensure your timing remains stable from idle to race rpm. Inside the CNC-machined billet housing is a polished stainless steel shaft that is supported with sealed ball bearing on the top and a long bushing on the bottom. FAST XFI EGT Modules
FAST XFI EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) modules allow XFI owners to monitor up to eight EGT sensors without requiring the use of the eight square auxiliary XFI inputs. The modules utilize a small, thin cable to communicate through a high-speed CAN (Controller Area Network) connection protocol at 500 kbps. They measure and transmit data from k-type thermocouples with a range of 32 to 1,670 degrees F (0 to 910 degrees C). Once transmitted, the data is available for viewing and logging through either the XFI or the FAST dash logger. FAST XFI EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) modules are available individually with wiring harness and manual, or in kits that also include fittings and thermocouplers.
