DEI Protect-A-Wires
Protect-A-Wires from DEI provide thermal protection for various under-hood components, such as spark plug wires, electrical wiring, and hoses, by shielding them from extreme engine and exhaust heat that can cause cracking, hardening, or burning. Basic sleeves are made from the same fiberglass composite as Protect-A-Boots to resist high temps. Upgrade kits include materials such as silicone and titanium for even greater heat insulation. To install, simply remove the distributor boot and connector, then easily slide on your Protect-A-Wire covering over the spark plug. This tubing can also be used to wrap speedometer cables, electrical wiring, and hoses. Multiple diameters, lengths, and colors are available.
