AEM Mini Master Battery Management Systems

AEM Mini Master battery management systems are comprised of three components: 1. VCU 2. BMS-18 Mini Master 3. BMS-18 Satellite(s) The BMS is implemented as two different module types: the Mini Master and the Satellite. Each module is capable of measuring up to 18 cells and three temperatures (thermistors), but the Master also contains the CAN communication interface and J1772 charging specific connections needed for each battery pack. The VCU communicates with the BMS via the Mini Master module and all battery packs need at least one Mini Master unit. The Satellites expand the capability of the Master by an additional 18 cells and three thermistors per additional Satellite connected. The Satellite modules are connected to their Master via a high-speed serial interface (isoSPI) that allows additional units to be daisy chained together, adding as many Satellites as necessary for the battery pack configuration. The VCU is responsible for all BMS control logic. All setup and calibration items can be modified using the AEMCal user interface. AEM Electronics Tesla Small Drive Unit Control Boards

AEM Electronics Tesla small drive unit control boards allow you to install a Tesla SDU in any non-OEM application, unlocking complete control when paired with an AEM VCU. The system provides full control of the SDU for programming torque curves, torque limits, regenerative braking, accelerator pedal response, drive-mode switches, and much more. AEM EV's Tesla inverter control boards act as a VCU expansion device that replaces the stock Tesla ICB. Once connected to an AEM VCU using the supplied communications harness, calibrators can program propulsion strategies and characterize inputs through the VCU using AEMcal software. AEM EV's SDU ICB was co-developed with Cascadia Motion, an industry leader in EV propulsion systems, to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability. Note: Inverter control boards must be used with an AEM Vehicle Control Unit for programming and controlling a Tesla SDU. This system is designed for conversion and motorsports vehicles with Tesla SDU swaps. It will not control a Tesla SDU in a Tesla OE chassis.
