EMAX vertical solo-mounted alternating silent expandable airlink systems meet high-demands with "whisper-quiet" performance. These systems are equipped with an advantageous alternating switch that will allow the units to alternate from one pump to another. The units will pump up to set pressure, then under the next start-up sequence the opposing pump will start, eliminating excessive running and allowing the pumps to cool under heavy loads. Plus, if one pump will not maintain set pressure and is not keeping up with demand, then both units will come on and run until the unit hits the pressure setting, after which it will go back into normal alternating mode. EMAX alternating silent air compressors have many features that make them easy to use, from automatic tank drains to belt tensioners. With EMAX's patented Whisper100 silent air onboard, these low-profile systems add four levels of air filtration along with making the compressor quiet, lowering the decibels by more than 35 percent. EMAX Industrial Plus Silent Air piston compressors are quiet. The most common complaints about compressors are their high noise levels. EMAX Silent Air units not only still the noise, but they also do it with a big cfm output and lower rpm. Featuring their Whisper 100 system installed on the back of the tanks, stationary compressor dB ratings are reduced by as much as 25 percent. The Whisper dissipates compressor intake noise by channeling intake air through a series of baffle plates and prefilter media inside the silencer cabinet. Piston intake noise is trapped and dissipated within the silencer structure; plus, it also provides secondary filtration for cleaner air. Industrial Plus Silent Air piston compressors are designed for up to 50,000 hours of commercial or industrial use with proper maintenance. At the core of these extremely durable compressors are super-quiet pumps featuring cast iron crankcases, precision-balanced cast iron crankshafts, and high-quality stainless steel roller bearings to ensure smooth, efficient operation. For long life and rebuildability, EMAX adds steel connecting rods with replaceable rod bearing inserts, removable cast iron cylinders and cylinder heads, disc intake and exhaust valves, and cast iron flywheels with a built-in fan. These bigger low-rpm pumps have a larger bore and stroke, so you get big cfm output with reduced friction and heat buildup. All EMAX Industrial Plus compressors have low-rpm motors (1,750 rpm). Because of their higher torque factor, compared to the 3,450 rpm motors most manufacturers use, they run much cooler. They also yield low harmonic distortion, provide much higher torque in cold weather starting, and require less electricity to start. Other features include big 1 3/8 in. output shafts, large starting and running capacitors, and dynamically balanced armatures. Their 15 Service Factor means the motors can be pulled 15 percent over full load. Depending on the application, many Silent Air piston compressors feature totally enclosed, fan-cooled (TEFC) motors that keep harmful dust and particulates out of the motor. This allows them to be used in dusty commercial and industrial environments without worrying about maintenance. They have 100 percent copper windings with pre-wired magnetic starters (necessary on any motor over 15 amps). These are high-quality, name brand, premium efficiency motors that meet all UL and CSA requirements. Some lower horsepower models are equipped with name brand, open-drip (OPD) motors. The running and starting windings on these motors are all 100 percent copper-wound for premium efficiency, reliable performance, and durability. These units also meet all UL and CSA requirements and include pre-wired Condor combination starter and pressure switches with actuation-type diaphragms. Available in several cfm, voltage, and phase combinations, EMAX piston compressor with dryer bundles take the guess work out of pairing a refrigerated dryer with a compressor. At the core of all EMAX compressors are their durable, quiet pumps. They start with cast iron crankcases and precision-balanced, cast iron crankshafts with stainless steel roller bearings for smooth operation, less drag, and lower energy use. Pump rpm is critical to performance and longevity, so EMAX pumps are over-size and run at lower rpm. They still yield high-cfm outputs and the lower rpm reduces friction and heat. EMAX's raised pump platforms elevate the pump for a constant flow of cool air from the flywheel fan to the underside of the crankcase. The cooler oil pulls heat off the pistons and connecting rods--reducing wear and extending pump life.
