The CL-100s have a display module with an excellent LCD and a wide viewing angle and you can scroll S.A.M.E. data to provide visual hazardous-event information. You may also retain the latest 20 event messages in memory to track weather trends. Sangean CL-100s feature up to five station-presets each for the FM and AM bands and have an auto-station-search function. They scan all available radio frequencies and find the strongest AM/FM signals. These radios have FM RBDS capabilities, in which a digital signal on an FM station is decoded by an RBDS-capable receiver, and can provide a wide range of informational data. These radios make the perfect bedside alarm clock. You may set the sleep timer to 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120 minutes and doze off to soft music. You may also set the dual alarm timers and wake to the AM or FM radio or buzzer alarms. There's even a snooze button. You may choose to set the date, day and time manually--or automatically by RBDS. Additionally, CL-100s have variable dimmer and contrast controls for comfortably viewing the display in the dark. A 3.5mm stereo auxiliary input jack is provided on CL-100s to allow audio signals to be fed into the unit from an external audio device, such as an MP3 or CD player. They also have a built-in external alert output jack for other accessories (e.g. hearing/visually impaired, flashing light, indoor/outdoor siren/alarm).
