MSD shift lights have a built-in rpm sensing circuit that will turn the light on when the engine reaches the desired rpm. The rpm is chosen with MSD plug-in modules. They feature a bright cluster of LEDs, making them easily visible, even in broad daylight. The lights also turn on for a second or two when the ignition switch is first turned on, to inform you that they're functioning properly. The Shift Lights will work on 2, 4, 6, or 8-cylinder engines. A blown radiator hose can lead to false temperature gauge readings and major engine damage. Allstar Performance water pressure warning kits detect the coolant pressure and immediately alert you to a problem with the cooling system. Standard temperature gauges work through the use of a thermal probe surrounded by coolant to register coolant temperatures, and cannot properly detect a problem. Only a water pressure kit can warn you if the coolant system pressure drops below 4 psi. Avoid engine damage by installing a water pressure warning kit from Allstar.
